Construction of plasterboard and cross base plywood on the wall│AGLUCA, an apparel sewing factory in Yamanashi
In this article, we will introduce the process of fully renovating a reinforced concrete building, which was originally a warehouse and parking lot, to create a sewing factory, including the process of pasting plasterboard and other materials on top of the insulation to create walls.
◼︎Prerequisite information
・Purchased a used cast concrete (RC) property in Shiotsu, Uenohara City, Yamanashi Prefecture.
・The first floor, which was originally a warehouse and parking lot, will be renovated to create an apparel sewing factory.
・No wall on one side (windswept)
・Since the performance of windows and sashes is low due to lack of insulation and confidentiality, we will aim to make them highly airtight and highly insulated for renovations.
・Request to a local construction company in Uenohara City

Gypsum board and plywood for cross base were transported by truck.
Tomita Co., Ltd. will transport the gypsum board to the factory.
When building or renovating in Uenohara City, most of the building materials are wholesaled by Tomita Co., Ltd.
Two rows of plasterboard and boards were brought into the garment factory.
The gypsum board uses Yoshino Gypsum's noncombustible Tiger Board JIS standard, heat-generating class 1 energy-saving cooperation product.
A famous company known for its tiger mark. This tiger mark is on the back (insulation side).
The board is guyar from Jutech's private brand Sumimi.
Divergence grade F☆☆☆☆ equivalent to grade (grade 3) or higher
Extremely low formaldehyde emissions (Japanese Industrial Standards or Japanese Agricultural Standards)
use the product.
Regarding the proper use of gypsum board and plywood for cloth base
Gypsum board is inexpensive, airtight, provides sound protection, and is easy to attach cloth to. The weak point is that you can't attach shelves.
On the other hand, since cross-base plywood (such as Sumimi Guynar) is expensive, the craftsman told me that it should be used instead of plasterboard in areas where cupboards will be installed, rather than being used for the entire wall.
My sewing factory uses very high-performance plywood with a grade 3 emission rating, but I hear that some construction companies use regular plywood.
Installing gypsum board and plywood for cross base
I think you can see that the colors are slightly different. The area near the window frame is plasterboard, and the area in front is plywood for the cross base. We plan to install shelves in the plywood areas.
Installed Yoshino Gypsum Tiger Board and Jutec Co., Ltd. Sumimi Gainer.
This building was made of reinforced concrete and had concrete walls, so we installed Styrofoam (the blue one) for insulation, sealed it with airtight tape, and then pasted the board.
